Decentralization means more and often something different than what is happening in the online blockchain worlds. !decentral is a place to meet and hack with folks from DeltaChat, K-9 mail, Autocrypt, Dat, qutebrowser and other interested and interesting folks collaborating on decentralized non-cloudy apps that integrate with one another. Without integration at end-user devices decentralized offerings create lots of islands which are cumbersome to navigate. At !decentral there will also be some sessions from the various participating projects -- highlighting what is currently happening and planned for in the respective projects. We also plan to do sessions related to user-testing and other happenings in eastern Europe, particularly Kyiv, Ukraine and discuss meeting up there in 2019. See https://delta.chat/en/2018-11-17-deltaxi for a first event that was organized in Kyiv beginning November 2018 already by the DeltaChat team.
