Project-idea: Finding pictures licensed under CC BY-NC-SA 3.0
Finding pictures for non-commercial or more precise political layout is a most time-consuming work. Flickr in this context is a huge dungheap with a few pearls inside and discovering fotos with googles picture search also sucks. Thus we think of the need for an ambitious picturesearch that allows fulfilling this task with little effort at rich user satisfaction. The discussion will be about the basic ideas concerning our concept, licensing, problems and first thoughts about the systems architecture. We also hope to win over supporters.

Das Finden von Bildern für nichtkommerzielles und insbesondere politisches Layout stellt sich als sehr zeitraubende Arbeit dar. Flickr ist ein Müllhaufen mit einigen Perlen und die Ergebnisse von Googles Bildersuche nerven ebenso. Also sehen wir das Bedürfnis für ein ambitioniertes Bildportal, welches diese Aufgabe mit wenig Aufwand und bei großer Nutzer_innenzufriedenheit erfüllt. Die Diskussion will die grundlegende Idee, das Lizenzmodell, Probleme und erste Gedanken zur Systemarchitektur angreifen. Wir hoffen hier einige Mitstreiter_innen für uns zu gewinnen.

fotocoo… ....or the quest for a progressive, non-commercial stock foto agency with content of a certain political standard. This workshop is the continuation to our lightning talk. If you got interest in what we are planning to do, that's the opportunity to discuss the crucial points of our project and to exert influence.
