A society hack.
You've seen this guy running around in a Star Wars costume at the conference? You think that's awesome and you also want one? Come and touch it!
Hints how to start with your own costume will be given. It's easier than you might think.
Participants can try the armor (if they fit into it). If we run out of time because more people want to try it than expected, we will continue with this in the corridor. If you want to try it: the armor is fitted for an average guy, approx. 1,80 meter in height, around 75 kg, shoe size 40-41. Armors/Costumes exist for bigger people, but I'm just average (as I said). Attention: the helmet is very cramped! Some people tend to freak out under such circumstances. Please think about that before putting it on. And yes, since the armor is fitted to me, it might hurt you a bit in some places. But not much, I promise.
The presentation will be given in english or german, dependend on the audience. It will be some kind of an ad-hoc presentation. Slides are prepared but if nobody wants to see them then let's just get dressed and make a picture with you in costume.
Of course the 501st Legion and it's charity work will be introduced. But this will be kept it to a minimum.
If a 501st Legion member reads this: please attend, your help or hints will be appreciated.
This talk is not given in any way on behalf of the 501st Legion or it's associated groups. At this occasion I'm just an ordinary guy who owns a costume which is very similar to the ones used in the Star Wars movies. Of course I am a member of this organization and it's members spread a lot of joy to kids and grown-ups alike by wearing a Star Wars costume. Since this a lot af fun for me and at the same time quite some charity work is done I want to present it to a broader audience.
