hey, i have a very strange problem with my matrix synapse homeserver installation, maybe someone can help me debug this: i am the sole user on the server. every time I open up a client such as FluffyChat or Element Chat, the CPU usage of the connected PostgreSQL database jumps to 100%. Following this, the server starts syncing events with other servers, which can take up to 30 minutes until I'm finally able to send messages successfully.
Here are a few specs :)
- its running as a podman container in lxc...on a proxmox host
- the database server is running in a VM and is queried via TCP over the network, but the packets never leave the host as both components are on the same physical machine
- i have followed all required steps from the synapse documentation to tune my database and synapse servers, but still no improvements
