Structural/systemic issues for participation in bigger chaos events for people with specific "needs": Exchange and what can be done.

This is time for an exchange about what makes it difficult for people with specific "sensibilities", "needs", … [1] to participate or engage in bigger chaos events, with a focus on structural/ systemic issues (i.e. reoccuring difficulties related to how things are (not) designed or tend to evolve; not one-time cases), and what actually can be done to make events more enjoyable.

This session's focus includes thinking about concrete actions that could be taken, it is not intended as only a personal sharing session.

As an example, what I think of: "Insonation" (music playing) at some spot in a room creates an additional auditory overlay in the whole room, which for some creatures creates too much stress to be for longer time in that place. Since bigger chaos events tend to evolve such that almost every bigger public room where assemblies are also have some insonation (at 39c3 e.g. the "Späti" insonating all Hall X and Y, too), enjoying the event is difficult because the other option is just to confine oneself to some small areas, which inhibits interaction with other creatures and projects, what the chaos event actually is for. One organisational solution could e.g. be that maybe only 1/3 of the public assembly spaces are where such insonation happens, and the other 2/3 does not has extra auditory sources. This would on one hand still give the people who like music enough space for this, and on the other hand not poison major parts of the event for creatures for which this is a problem. Here one could think of which arguments should be raised where and which teams could be brought together to organise stuff that way.
(Similar issues I am aware of exist with artificial fog.)

(There is a related event, "CCCip Auskotzrunde" on day 4 at 12:15.)

[1] I don't like the wording "specific sensibilities", "specific needs". But I did not find any better.
