With Senfcall, Computerwerk 2020 has launched a free public service that is available to everyone, without the use or sale of data, compulsory use or other hidden side interests.

Efforts are now underway to expand this range of free open software. For example, some members operate the mastodon server hessen.social and a number of smaller services. But the CWDA is the wrong place for such projects, so the idea of an association was born to operate IT systems for the common good.
