Hybrid warfare: lines of division in the Ukrainian society. How the Russian information impact creates and exploits them for destabilization.

Traditionally, the Ukrainian society is split by many division lines entwined into various discourses. Some are connected with everyday life, others are value-oriented, but russia manipulates all of them to destabilize Ukrainian society through media attacks. Artem and Nastya will outline how is happens, and why they do it.
This presentration is based on the research conducted by the NGO "CAT-UA": Communication Analysis Team - Ukraine. We will discuss patterns of online discussions in our society, Russia´s role in this process, and the outcome of its intrusion.
The speech by Artem Zakharchenko and Nastya Melnychenko refers to Ukraine. However, it is equally applicable to Germany which was also targeted by a hybrid attack using the same technology. Lessons drawn from the Ukrainian experience may be especially relevant if the level of social stability drops (e.g. in case of an economic decrease).
UAct is a group of chaotic individuals from Germany, Ukraine, USA, etc. We are concerned about the ongoing agression against the democratic world. Hybrid warfare against our societies is going on already for more than a decade and we see an urgent need to raise awareness, gather, discuss and act.
