Day 3

Not within the CERT but next to the KinkyGeeks

The protocols for satellite communications are different from the ones used for IoT- or Internet applications. Even though most types of satellites are manufactured as one-of-a-kind designs, they are typically using a small set of protocol stacks. We want to present one of the most commonly used stacks. Afterwards we will talk about a university small satellite mission and it's ground segment software, and if the tech permits it we will be seeing a live ground station pass, and getting to know a little bit about the software otherwise only seen on pictures from the main control rooms of ESA and similar institutions. The previously discussed protocols will be used during the demo.
