TELNET - KLARTEXT REDEN

Welcome to the Telnet Team - Klartext Reden (Speaking in Plain-Text).

We are a loose group of about 30 people, spread across Germany (Berlin, Bremerhaven, Bochum, Gevelsberg, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich and Regensburg) and have met briefly at various security conferences.

Our first real gathering took place at 31c3 under an escalator at a free table. This is also where our group name "TELNET - KLARTEXT REDEN" was born.

Since the 34c3 we have registered our own assembly and launched a few projects to give something back to the community.

An example of this is the "Winkekatzen-Challenge", which we introduced at the 34c3 in Leipzig. Participants have the chance to win a T-shirt if they manage to make a cat wave.

In addition, we have built a LED installation consisting of 7200 LEDs on a cylinder.

Also we run a small "Arduino-Späti" (24/7 store) where we offer microcontroller parts at Ali-Express cost price/donation. Electronics enthusiasts can get one-on-one advice for their electrical engineering projects. We can provide expertise in both analog and digital.

During the RC1 we created a 2D world where there was a live stream to the waving cat webcam and you could also try to make the cat wave.

At Camp 2019 we organized a scavenger hunt for kids in Family Village.

Our goal is to give participants a deeper understanding of cryptography, passwords and hashes.

We consider ourselves part of the chaotic family even though we are not registered as an association since we are scattered all over Germany and only meet offline at such events.
