[edit] Duties - I'd like to be an angel, what would be my duties?

There are a lot of things to do, a rough outline can be found on the angel page. We do not assign angels in advance to positions, instead use the Angel System to sign up for shifts you want to do. You can "book" shifts one week in advance, and probably quite some time before.

[edit] Briefings - At what time will the angel briefings take place?

The angel briefings will usually be at 10am and 10pm. See the section 'Meetings' on the page for [Volunteers].

[edit] Work Hours - When do angels start working for the 25C3?

day hours
2008-12-23 8:00 ~ 17:00
2008-12-24 closed!
2008-12-25 8:00 ~ 23:59
2008-12-26 all day
2008-12-27 all day
2008-12-28 all day
2008-12-29 all day
2008-12-30 all day

The setup of the Congress starts Dec 23rd at 8:00am and we need angles to help with the setup on Dec 23rd and 25th 8:00am . The entrance will be officially opened on Dec 26th at noon, i.e. we will need additional angels for check-in and security from that time on. We also need angels to guard the exit doors and dismantle the equipment on Dec 30th. It's planned to be finished around midnight that day.

If you plan to help on the 23rd or 25th at 8:00: please check this page in advance!

[edit] Work Duration -How long do I have to work as an angel?

This question isn't easy to answer because it depends on the chosen job and the availability of other angels. Working hours also vary with individual motivation. As a rule of thumb, four hours a day may be considered normal.

[edit] Minimum Age - I'm only XX years old. Can I help?

When you are old enough to attend the congress then you are old enough to help.

(so - what's the minimum age then?)

[edit] Accomodation - Are Angels allowed to sleep in the gym for free?

To be discussed...

[edit] Entrance Fee - Do Angels have to pay the congress fee?

YES, everyone has to pay the entrance fee - including Angels.

However, Angels receive free catering and those actively helping get a free congress t-shirt.

Mind you, there are reductions for CCC members, pupils, and umemployed people.

[edit] Badge - Where do I get my Angel badge?

As soon as you have registered with the Angel System, you can get your badge at the Ministry of Information. Expect that not to happen until close to the congress start - bagde output needs hardware input and setup, there might be delays.

If you are not a collector of lanyards, it might be a good idea to bring your old from last congress, as new ones tend to run out of supplies. ;)
