From 24C3 Public Wiki
I found no similar page in the wiki yet, so here's one. Put suggestions for next year's congress here. Remember to be constructive!

POC
- What about SIP/RTP connectivity to the POCs DECT system?
- works already well (at least at camp)
Pentabarf
- Show the ratings and comments of the user feedback publically!
Pen&Paper-Hack
The cash desk will open at 18:00 on the 26th of December.

Music between the talks
Please remove the music between the talks or do at least offer some relief. It's cool like one hour or so. But after some time it's just annoying, particularly if you stay in Saal 1 during the break (which means >1h the same track, over and over again). --Pberndt 21:55, 29 December 2007 (CET)
- But this helps to not use Saal 1 as hackcenter anyway. Sure, this was not intented but is a nice side effect. So please do not change this. ;-)
- Don't change the bcc-Music. Saal 1 is not a hackcenter and also you could have used headphones. Normal ones or the more sophistacetd headphones with noise cancelation whch works pretty well. The music between lectures should be the very last to think about improving the next congress. Instead try to think about far more important problems thant music between the lectures.
CCC Forum
). --Baumi 01:11, 30 December 2007 (CET)
- Just use the discussion possibilities at the wiki. A forum sounds like a bad idea. Currently there is really enough possibilities to ask questions or inform someone. Also there is a mailinglist, isn't it? Also, just set up something you need by yourself?
Network logging
In the closing event you presented some statistics showing that 35% of all unique (!) MAC-addresses were from the Apple address range. While it might seem cool to know that it also implies that this year's DHCP server (or another official service) actually logs information. Please either stop it from doing that or provide information on what exactly gets logged next year.
- The congress network is to be considered hostile. Expect everyone to be spying on, hacking and making fun of you. You ought to set up your own security and privacy, e.g. change your MAC address if you're concerned about that.
- I'd say that one Mac user has been rotating its MAC address quite regularly, given these statistics. (scnr)
- Despite that a _no logging policy_ for official services is always a good choice.
- A couple of points from me
- Being at the 24C3 can't stop other from prosecuting crimes being committed there. And HEY, learn how to change your mac!
- Logging actually helps to keep the network running. Anyone remember the problems with small sized forwarding tables for example.
- For statistics you can always make a snapshot of the 'busiest' moment. Just don't believe them.

- Sure. However, my concern is is rather ideological than practical: The people who created these statistics (ccc officials) are the same people who proclaim and fight for ideas like "everyone should know what happens to their data". I guess before telling others how to behave one should always mind one's own business.. I know that in this case this might seem donnish, however it still is a point, which could be improved really simple (by putting a note in the wiki next year)... :) --Pberndt 02:16, 2 January 2008 (CET)
