Session:Hybrid DTN & Mobil Adhoc Routing Protocol
Description | We currently develop a network agnostic routing protocol which covers mobile ad hoc routing as well as delay tolerant package store and forward routing. This routing protocol is part of the project qaul.net, an Internet independent wireless mesh communication app. In this session we would like to discuss and develop our ideas and concepts further. Everybody is invited to contribute ideas and/or just learn more about the subject. |

qaul.net is a free software suite, which enables everyday devices, such as laptops and smartphones to create an internet independent decentralised and open ad-hoc wireless mesh network. It supports both public and private text messaging, voice calls, audio broadcasts and file sharing — all in a single app. Independent of existing wireless and cellular infrastructure, it empowers users to share ideas and organise, circumventing government surveillence and censorship.
In addition to this, it provides a powerful service library, which enables others to write applications that communicate and interact with an existing qaul network.
At the moment we are rewriting qaul.net from scratch in rust.
The routing protocol is an own layer and convers the following topics: Endpoint identifiers, delay tolerant routing, mobile adhoc routing, gossip protocol, identity based encryption
The workshop will be conducted by math and spacekookie, developers of qaul.net
