Prolog
Das Chaos Communication Camp ist eine Urlaubsveranstaltung für
Hacker, Nerds und andere schöpferisch-kritische Lebewesen. Die
Teilnehmer der Veranstaltung erwarten von der Presse eine gewisse
Zurückhaltung und die Wahrung des Rechts am eigenen Bild. Verschiedene
Teilnehmer wollen weder gefilmt, noch photographiert oder befragt
werden.
Um diesen Bedürfnissen Rechnung zu tragen, wird die Produktion
von Foto- und Videomaterial ausnahmslos durch ein professionelles
Poolteam erfolgen. Die Vertreter von Wort und Ton werden gebeten,
den Charakter der Veranstaltung und die genannten Bedürfnisse
der Teilnehmer zu respektieren.

Pressekonferenz am 4.8.1999 12 Uhr
Es findet eine Pressekonferenz am Mittwoch vor der Veranstaltung
in den Räumen des Chaos Computer Club Berlin, Marienstraße 11,
10117 Berlin statt. Hier bietet sich auch die Gelegenheit zu Interviews
mit den Sprechern des CCC e.V.
Zugang zum Veranstaltungsgelände
Alle Pressevetreter gelten als Teilnehmer und zahlen ausnahmslos
denselben Eintrittspreis wie ein normaler Teilnehmer (volunteer
ticket: DM 150, bei besonderer Spendenbereitschaft auch wahlweise
das business ticket: DM 1500).
Ausweise für die Presse
Journalisten egal welcher Zunft (Wort, Ton) müssen auf der Veranstaltung
Ausweise, die mit dem Wort "Presse" gekennzeichnet sind, ständig
sichtbar tragen.
Teilnehmern der Veranstaltung bleibt es selbst überlassen, ob
sie mit Journalisten sprechen möchten oder nicht. Wir bitten, das im Sinne eines entspannten Ablaufes zu respektieren.
Bildberichterstattung (TV, Video, Foto)
Auf dem gesamten Gelände der Veranstaltung ist ausnahmslos keine
eigene Bildberichterstattung möglich.
Ein freies Team wird Poolmaterial für Fernsehstationen produzieren.
Dieses Team bietet Videoaufnahmen (in fernsehtauglicher Betacam-Qualität)
ab dem ersten Veranstaltungstag morgens (6. August) an. Die Videotapes
sind zu den üblichen Sendeminutenpreisen erhältlich. Für Details

Fotos werden ausschlisslich von der Agentur Ostkreuz produziert. Die Aufnahmen werden ebenso ab dem 6. August früh

Die Bezugsquellen für das vorbereitete Material werden auf der
Pressekonferenz bekanntgegen.
Tonberichterstattung
Anfragen an Teilnehmer, ob sie mit der Aufzeichnung eines Interviews
einverstanden sind, sind *offline* (ohne Aufzeichnung) zu führen.
Wir bitten es zu respektieren, wenn die Teilnehmer keine Lust
haben bzw. Interviews ablehnen. Bei den Vorträgen bzw. Podiumsdiskussionen
in den Forumszelten kann das Mikrophon auf dem Podium plaziert
werden.

Prolog
The Chaos Communication Camp is a holiday event for hackers, nerds
and other beeings with a creative and critical view of live. The
participants expect the press people to show a certain degree
of non-intrusive behavior, especially regarding the right not to be filmed or photographed. Several participants neither want
to be filmed, photographed or interviewed.
To take care for these needs all production of photo and video
material will be carried out only by a special professional pool
crew. Press people from the radio and newspapers are kindly requested
to respect the holiday, non-sensational character of the event
and the needs of the participants.
Information
Press Conference on 4.August 1999 12:00h
A press conference will be held on Wednesday before the camp at
the Chaos Computer Club location in Berlin, Marienstrasse 11,
10117 Berlin. There you also have the possibIhrility to make interviews
with the speakers of the CCC.
Admission to the Camp area
Every single press person is regarded as a normal participant
and has to pay the entrance fee. There are no exceptions, no excuses
will be accepted. The fee is DM 150 for the volunteer ticket.
As an alternative, you can also buy the business ticket for DM
1500 if you feel a urgent need to support the camp.
Press ID cards
Every press person has to carry a card with the word "PRESSE"
on it, WORN IN A CLEARLY VISABLE WAY, all the time when on the
Camp area. Every participant has the right to not to speak to journalists at all. No one is required to talk to
you. We urge you to respect this to ensure a relaxed event.
TV, Photo, Video
It is not possible to make your own photos, TV reports or video footage
on the camp. There are no exceptions. A professional pool team
will produce enough material in professional (Betacam) quality
to serve all your needs for both news and documentary. The copies
of the tapes will be aviable from that team in the morning of
6. August for the usual minute price. For details on pricing,

The sources for both photo and TV material will be announced at
the press conference.
Audio
If you ask a participant if he or she wants to be interviewed
you need to do this with your recorder switched off. We ask you
to respect if someone does not want to be interviewed. If you want to record workshops or lectures
you can position your microphone on the stage.
