Surgeries still require long psychological examinations and mandatory therapy. The German Self Determination Law is far from all we wished for and already in danger again. Many countries are banning HRT for adolescents and young adults or just straight up for everyone. We are still waiting for some of the most basic (trans*) rights. We are angry, we have a plan, and we need your support for it.

Like this year, we will also organise a decentralized action day for trans* rights in spring of 2025, with a focus on access to healthcare. We fight to abolish shitty gatekeeping and make medical transition freely accessible for all. Nobody should have to prove they are “trans enough”. At the same time, we want to be an exchange group throughout the rest of the year to talk about how trans* topics are doing in leftist activism spaces, and what we can do to promote them.

We are organising this exchange because these things directly affect us. Here, we want to tell you how you can participate and help organise the action day. People with now previous activist experience are very welcome to participate, there are things to do for every level of experience. You can organise something right where you live.

If you can't participate in person, there are plenty of other things you can do. For example, if you have made negative experiences with the healthcare system, feel free to write about them to trans_justice[a]riseupDOTnet. We use these reports to try to make others understand why we are so determined to improve the situation.

First there will be a bit of input regarding the current state of planning and how you can participate, and then some space for discussion about trans healthcare and activism. If the discussion runs over the scheduled time we can probably continue in the hallway with those who are interested.
