Searching for a pharmacy?

No problem.

The German word for pharmacy is "Apotheke", and their logo is not a green cross, but a bold red "A". If you're looking for one, just visit aponet.de and enter the BCC's ZIP code "10178" into the field at the upper left labeled "Apotheken-Suche, PLZ oder Ort" and click "Suche".

The nearest pharmacy to the BCC is the Apotheke am Alexanderplatz, and it's located here (Better map). It's open Monday to Friday from 8am until 7pm, Saturday 8am until 1pm.

If it's late at night, most pharmacies are closed. But there exists an emergency service the pharmacies have arranged for. Every day another one stays open during the night. If you want to find out which one is open right now, just visit the Notdienstkalender. Enter "10178" into the field labeled "PLZ" and click "suchen". You will be presented a list of pharmacies and their business hours (in the column "geöffnet").

For those of you who don't speak German: The business hours are presented like "von heute|<date> HH:MM Uhr bis heute|<date> HH:MM Uhr". The first line tells you the time they open up, the second line when they close down. The word "heute" means "today". You can check the times for other days by clicking the weekday names below (starting with Monday they are: Montag, Dienstag, Mittwoch, Donnerstag, Freitag, Samstag, Sonntag).

By clicking "Weitere Info" you can see their phone number (Germany's international prefix is +49); by clicking "Anfahrt" you can see where it is located in a map. There you can also enter the BCC's address (PLZ: 10178; Ort: Berlin; Ortsteil: (leave empty); Straße: Alexanderplatz 3) and calculate a route (click "Route berechnen" and choose the first list item; the BCC is marked with a green flag).
