Biography

Jeff "koitsu"/"asterisk" Mears is a 22 year old senior (5th year student) at the University of California at Irvine, where he also lives. He has been reverse engineering software since age 15. He has been involved in classic game emulation and modification, and making unauthorized translations of classic Japanese games into English. He has also made cheat codes and cheat programs for video game consoles using reverse engineering. More recently, he has done reverse engineering work on the Xbox kernel and its security systems for the Xbox Linux Project. Jeff is the main author of "MechInstaller".
