How to explain Relational Databases to non-IT people
Event Start: 3 Monate, 1 Woche her // Event Information
People are entering data in databases, and trying to generate reports from that. Some people do more and are working as Master Data Mgr or Data Steward. But often they don’t know what they are doing, and just learning by trial-and-error. Understanding basics of the underlying relational database can help a lot!
I have developed a successful method to teach people (that have no knowledge of relational databases or RDBMS) the basics. At the end they can read and understand an ERD and talk to IT people about database design. I will share with you how I do this, and hopefully you can also be successful in helping others to understand relational databases!
