LaTeX is not only known for producing lovely math formulas, but also cool graphics of all kinds, see e.g. http://texample.net/tikz/examples/ or https://tug.org/PSTricks/main.cgi?file=examples
If you enjoy fiddling around with nerdy graphics, you will have lots of fun during the workshop.
The workshop is for beginners, no knowledge of LaTeX is necessary, but you should already have LaTeX installed on your machine. You can come to our village half an hour before the workshop if you need help with installing. I recommend the TeX Live Distribution (https://www.tug.org/texlive/).
If you have some special graphics topic (see the above linked websites) that you want to get a deeper introduction into, contact me via e-mail one day before or just drop in at our village and show me what you are interested in.
