| Description | After the Snowden reports, lots of new instant messaging protocols and -messengers spawned. mailbox3000 is a new approach which aims at reusing existing technologies and simplicity. Essentially, The concept is to exchange short e-mails via http using libsignal for encryption and http basic auth for authentication, using only one server in the middle which stores messages until they are fetched by the client. The server software is implemented as a small cgi so that everybody can set up his own server. |
