"Work against waste and wasteful use of resources, mainly but not only in electronics. We want to investigate resource usage and the possibilities to change it. This includes the topics, waste, choice of material, energy use, life cycles, political conditions and policies, and how we (as hackers and the CCC) can have an influence on new concepts and product designs. First of all, to get into this vast subject, we want to educate ourselves, and research more and choose subtopics. So far, the working group has focused repair cafés as a means to educate on the topic.
Der Kampf dem Müll und der Verschwendung von Ressourcen: wir wollen den Ressourcenverbrauch und die Möglichkeiten von Veränderung daran untersuchen. Das meint sowohl die Themen Müll, Materialwahl, Energieverbrauch, Lifecycle, politische Rahmenbedingungen und inwieweit unser Einfluss auf neue Konzepte und Produktdesigns reicht. Dazu wollen wir erstmal: uns selber weiterbilden und auf einen gemeinsamen Wissensstand bringen, sowie mehr Unterthemen recherchieren (und ggf. auch aussortieren). Bisher hat sich die Arbeitsgruppe auf Repair Cafés konzentriert, als Möglichkeit auf das Thema aufmerksam zu machen."
