This is a cool idea !

  • What band(s) ?
  • What modulation(s) ?

I don't know if I can contribute in any way but I'd be interested !

2m Band, Two 10-Element stacked Yagi antennas and full legal power. We use only one polarisation plane tough drue to simplicity of transportation/setup. Details are on the project page as well. --AndiS (talk) 12:38, 1 August 2015 (CEST)

2m Yagi Bounce

I really would like to do a 2m Yagi Moonbounce with a WSJT mode. Even 50W should be enough.

The only disadvantage this Camp: there will be New Moon, so it won't be visible, but we can bounce the signals during the day.

No Problem, we will track the moon automatically.

But 50W will NOT in ANY case be sufficient. With twin Stacked 10 Element Yagis (what we have) it is starting to get feasible at around 200-300 W output. But that is only marginally so and the receiving station has to be a really big BIG GUN. But no worries, we can do maximum legal power and have stacked Yagis.

Experience from the 2011 camp tells us that we will be heard quite good. Reception on our end will be the difficult part with all the switching power supplies at the camp site --AndiS (talk) 12:38, 1 August 2015 (CEST)

I hope you don't mind that I added myself to the Moonbounce project. It's something I wanted to try ever since I've heard about it. Finally got my license, but lack the equipment. I'll help at the project in whatever way I can, if additional help is needed.

Sure, that's the idea! --AndiS (talk) 12:38, 1 August 2015 (CEST)
