Chicken with almonds and honey (carnivore, personal creation, being prepared by Algoldor)
Note
I've developed this recipes based on my love for sweat meat dishes. It is quite simple with just several ingredients involved marinated together which is the key trick in this dish. I'll have to play with the amount of ingredients so please take the numbers below just for your orientation.
Ingredients:
2000 g of chicken meat
300 g of almonds
500 g of carrot
400 g of honey
50 g of ginger
Cookware needed:
sharp knife
grader for ginger
bowl (for marination)
Directions:
- cut the meat out of the chicken body and put it to a big bowl, safe all the off cuts for chicken&vegetable soup
- cube/dice the meat on smaller pieces of roughly 1 x 1x 4 cm or shorter (shape doesn't matter so much, it needs to be smaller to get infused with sauce faster)
- add the almonds
- crash the ginger fine and add it
- wash the carrot and cut on 0.5 x 0.5 x 4 cm pieces (peel before cutting if not organic) or any smaller ratio (carrot will take longer to bake if bigger pieces are used)
- add the honey
- add the salt
- mix properly and let to sit at colder temperature (10-15°C) for 1-3 days if possible, or just for 12-24 hours at room temperature
- once ready for preparations switch on the oven, I prefer to bake at lower temperature for longer, 180°C should be fine
- move the mix in to the baking pan and transport it in to the oven
- check after 20 minutes by taking out a piece of chicken and cutting it in half, if white, it's ready to be eaten. Make sure that the carrot is ready too, it may be still half raw which is fine with me!
- serve with side dish like rice, quinoa etc.
