This year, the Hacken Open Air (HOA) will take place on 9–13 July 2024, again from a Tuesday to a Saturday.

The Hacken Open Air is finest hacker camping, hosted by Stratum 0. Together with you, we want to tinker, discuss and be creative in the middle of nature.

This year’s location will once again be the Pfadfinderheim [Scout centre] Welfenhof in Gifhorn, close to Brunswick.

The campsite has regular indoor showers and toilets, and we will offer open-air showers as well. In addition, we will provide area-wide electricity, DECT and Wi-Fi, so you are perfectly equipped for hacking and chilling. For campers, there is a limited number of additional parking spaces on the site. You are more than welcome to decorate the campsite however you like. If you need some space for artworks, please contact us at kontakt@hackenopenair.de.

A daily breakfast buffet and a dinner (vegan and non-vegan) will be included in the ticket price. Find details on food in our Wiki. Between meals, we will fire up the fryers. For your comfort, we plan to host a pool with a sauna and an adjoining campfire. There you may enjoy the evening with some drinks from the bar.

As every year, you will have many opportunities for self-organized talks and workshops. You are welcome to contribute by adding your topics to the Wiki. In addition to the hack center, we will put up a yurt as a location for workshops and talks.

There will be a lot to do before and after the event. As this is a community event, we eagerly await your help.

This year, the HOA will again take place from Tuesday to Saturday (22–26 Aug 2023). Tickets are now available on tickets.hackenopenair.de!

The Hacken Open Air is best hacker camping, hosted by Stratum 0. With you, we want to tinker, discuss and be creative in the middle of nature.

For a peaceful atmosphere on the campsite and a relaxed arrival by train, we offer a small shuttle service from the train station as well as parking spaces nearby.

Is your camping equipment collecting dust again? Do you like hacking in the wild? Experimental cooking? Enjoying music with some tschunk-cocktails? Spreading a bit of good-natured chaos and having fun together with friendly people? Then Hacken Open Air might just be the thing for you! We at the Stratum 0 hackerspace invite you to camp with 120 like-minded people for four exceptional days. We will be staying on a campground in the woods, not far from the metropolis of Braunschweig, from 02.08. to 05.08.

Our new location promises far more nature and far less trains. To bring you real internet we will provide you with FTTT – Fiber to the Tent. Put yourself on the waiting list for this new experience!

We will be staying on the outskirts of the small town of Peine, not far from the metropolis of Braunschweig, from 07.09. to 10.09.
