Planning for Congress, unsure what to do there, interested in applying your impressive language skills? If you are multilingual and fluent in German, English and maybe other languages, please consider joining the interpreters team, c3lingo.

We interpret ALL talks in the four main halls live and in real-time. German talks are interpreted into English, and vice versa. Our work is streamed to the Internet and transmitted as audio-only streams in the halls, and recordings are published on media.ccc.de. We have another channel where we interpret into more languages, this is transmitted and published in the same way.

That is a lot of material to interpret and in order to succeed, we need YOU. With the “more languages” channel, you have the chance to contribute in an even more special way if you can interpret into another interesting language (from English or German). We mostly feature the French or Spanish language on this channel, but if your skills differ, just let us know – especially if you can bring along a few interpreters for the same target language. Sometimes, we might even use this channel for interesting things that are not (strictly) interpretations.

Don’t be shy. If you are uncertain whether you’re good enough, chances are that you’ll do just fine. In case you‘re struggling, we will take over from you and talk it over later, no harm done.

Here are the steps to join us:

Subscribe to our mailing list: use this form or send an empty e‑mail to “talk-subscribe(at)lists.c3lingo.org”. Write a quick intro to the mailing list after you’ve completed your subscription.

If you are new to interpreting, with us or in general, we invite you to give it a try online before the Congress. Meet us on Senfcall, a popular German BigBlueButton instance. Any web browser will work, but please use a headset or headphones at the very least. Also, be sure you know how to use your audio equipment with your browser. We look forward to welcoming you in our “tryout” meetings at

30 November (Sunday), 19:00

12 December (Friday), 19:00

So, take this opportunity and help us bring C3 to an even wider international audience.

For more information, you can contact us on Mastodon at @c3lingo@chaos.social and #c3lingo, or via mail to talk(at)lists.c3lingo.org (after subscribing).

See (and possibly hear) you at 39C3!

ch(ea|i)p alternatives

The time has finally come: We want to invite you to the 21st Gulaschprogrammiernacht!

Save the date:
08.06.2023 - 11.06.2023 at HfG and ZKM, Lorenzstr. 15, 76135 Karlsruhe, Baden, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Europe, Earth, Sun, α-Quadrant, Milky Way, Laniakea.

Registration: https://join.gulas.ch

Submissions: https://cfp.gulas.ch (Deadline: 07.05.2023 23:59)

You will find anything the hearts of hackers and haecksen long for at the Gulaschprogrammiernacht: talks, workshops, a demo show, blinkenlights, a big hackcenter, Karlsruhe’s yearly supply of mate and Tschunk, an epic lounge, a wonderful lava meadow, and of course … wonderful goulash! As always, four days of hacking, lecturing, tinkering, and discussing await you. Everybody is welcome, from the usual suspects to the (as of yet) inexperienced first-timers.

Lectures and workshops

The amount of talks and workshops that are going to be held is completely up to you, as is their content! We are looking forward to a wide range of topics for talks and workshops aimed at all participants. You can submit your very own proposals through Pretalx. If you do not want to get up on stage yourself, but know people you would enjoy to see as speakers at the GPN, please forward this call for participation to them.
Remember to make your presentations and workshops as accessible and understandable as possible. Presentations will be recorded by default and posted online at media.ccc.de, opt-out is possible at any time.

“lack (noun, singular/uncountable)
A situation in which you do not have any, or enough, of something that you need or want.” (from: Macmillan Dictionary)
The increasing lack of computer chips puts all of us electronic machines wielding people in a difficult place:
On the one hand, we wish to source cheap hardware, on the other hand we strive for better supply chains so as to not aggravate the environment’s condition any further.
In call, switching to alternatives that serve both goals is an inevitable development. Notably, open-source based projects have proven to ameliorate our society, even if the majority of people are unaware of this manner of collaboration. It is our responsibility to rethink, redraft, and rebuild our prior designs and come up with solutions suited to current challenges. Raise a Mate to more affordable and sustainable hardware—let us develop ch(ea|i)p alternatives!

We would very much like to encourage you to hand in talks, even if you consider yourself an inexperienced speaker. Should you be in need of any help, simply reach out to us and we will provide you with assistance as best as we can!

Trolling

The GPN, like all other Chaos events, is only possible thanks to the energetic efforts of many helpers who keep everything running, from the info desk to the live-streams. If you want to lend a hand, you can pre-register starting now by joining troll system. Those amongst the most diligent and active will receive a thank you in form of our iconic bowl with the GPN21 design—an item reserved exclusively for helpers. But that is not all: Let us surprise you with other goodies as well. For certain specialised activities, newcomers will be receive a brief introduction, so that no previous knowledge or special qualifications are necessary even for the fanciest of shifts.

For anything else, consult the Internet: Follow the goulash.

Mini-FAQ

“How much is a ticket?” — There are no tickets and admission is free. GPN is donor-funded and prices for drinks and food are deliberately kept as low as possible. We rely on your donations to make this year’s (and any further) event a reality.

“Why should I register?” — It helps us plan how many chairs, tables, goulash, and tschunk ingredients we have to provide for. Textile swag must be reserved at the time of registration. Also, by registering, you will get a free public transport ticket for the duration of the event.

“What are trolls?” — That is the name of our helpers, comparable to “angels” at other chaos events. Come by and be a troll!

“I have other questions!” — If you have not found your answer in our detailed FAQ, drop us a message.

Winterkongress der Digitalen Gesellschaft Schweiz

We are pleased to invite you to the sixth Winterkongress on Friday evening, 24 February and Saturday, 25 February 2023. During two days, topics around information technology, digitalisation and their impact on our society will be covered in various lectures and workshops. The programme is online. Tickets are also available now.

The Winterkongress is the annual meeting of the Digitale Gesellschaft Schweiz: On Friday evening, 24 and Saturday, 25 February 2023, hackers, programmers, activists and interested people will come together for the sixth time in Zurich (temporarily) at the Volkshaus to exchange views on topics related to information technology, networking and its impact on our society.

The Winterkongress starts on Friday evening at 7.00 pm. On Saturday it continues at 11.00 a.m. with a keynote address. There will be a total of over 30 lectures and workshops in several parallel tracks. The Winterkongress will end with an evening event from 20.00 hrs onwards. In between and afterwards there will be time for exchange.

A ticket for non-members costs CHF 30 and for members CHF 20. Free codes for low-income earners and helpers are available via office[at]digitale-gesellschaft.ch.

We are looking forward to an inspiring congress atmosphere again this year.

The Winterkongress is a co-production of the Roten Fabrik and the Digitale Gesellschaft Schweiz.

Editorial remark by events.ccc.de: Both Digitale Gesellschaft in Switzerland and Digitale Gesellschaft in Germany use “Digitale Gesellschaft” as their proper names, without adding a country name. These are two independent organisations. We decided to add the country name, as we fear that otherwise a mismatch might be likely when this posting is read quickly.

Call for Angels

Dear living entities, we’re almost there: divoc 2022 will be opening it’s doors in a few days. So we’ll be needing the help of additional angels: heralds, signal angels, translation angels, welcome angels, but also stream watchers and chatroom observers. Please give us a short note under divoc@neanderfunk.de so that we know who’ll be coming to help us.

DiVOC: Call for Worlds

Let’s build bridges between our accustomed bubbles, places to exchange ideas, to meet new
creatures or just to see old acquaintances again.

There’s more than enough space, and we hope that this divoc’s world will be
as colourful as last year’s (at least!).

To bring some amount of cohesion to this chaos, we’ve decided to publish a styleguide on bb3-style.betalars.de

There’s also a Logo-generator on bb3.tils.pw

If you want to dock your map to our lobby, please send an email with the name of your assembly and a publicly-reachable link to a git-repository of your map to world@muc.hacc.space; we’ll come back to you with further information.
All maps that reach us until April 7th will be part of the world. Processing of later submissions is not impossible, but will definitely be best-effort only!

As always, there are no limits here for your creativity — so go rebuild your hackcenter,
create something entirely new, or carefully update the map you used at previous events
(but please remember that the divoc is a far smaller event then e.g. the rC3, and — if applicable – scale your map down a little). Of course, we’d be especially happy about
combined submissions by more than one assembly, or maps that build creative bridges to
somewhere else, whether that means a window looking into a hackcenter or livestream to your
local waffle-making session.

If you have an idea or a question, please let us know!

You can also find further information and hints in the wiki.

DiVOC Bridging Bubbles – Call for Expertise

tl:dr:

The CfP has been extended until 20.3.2022

We’re making Putins Ukraine war the topic for a whole day (Saturday 16.04.)

Looking for: qualified contributions about help for refugees, OS intelligence, fact checking, open flow of information, protection against cyber attacks, hacker ethics, reconciliation

Contributions to other serious and fluffy topics still welcome!

We are devastated by Putins military invasion of Ukraine. We could have never wanted our theme - bridging bubbles - to be as urgent. Because we will need to build bridges between Ukrainians, Russians and the international community; for the sake of every peaceful creature that has suffered due to the war.

This is why we will be dedicating Saturday, 16.04.22 to this topic.

We are looking for qualified reporting on the information and power bubbles that are shaping the conflict.

We stand in solidarity with out Ukrainian friends and the reports leave us restless. But many technical aspects are also on our minds.

We are a collective of hackers. What does that mean when there’s a war happening right at our doorsteps that is also being fought on the Internet?

What are constructive contributions we can make as civilian hacktivists for the people of Ukraine? How should we debunk propaganda? Can freedom of information help in the process of reconciliation?

If you can contribute a talk or a discussion on Saturday, we’d be happy for your proposal in Pretalx in track “Resilience and Education” or a mail to our content team via divoc@neanderfunk.de until 20.03.2022!

We are also looking forward to performances and works of art dealing with the topic. You can also contribute to an educational short on hacker ethics and debunking “cyber war”.

But by dedicating a day to this topic, we deliberately chose to not make it a theme for the whole event. There’s other subjects needing to be addressed and bunnies wanting to be illuminated with LEDs. These submissions will always be welcome.

Be excellent to each other!
бути відмінними один до одного!
Будьте замечательные друг к другу!

19.05. - 22.05.2022 at HfG and ZKM, Lorenzstr. 15, 76135 Karlsruhe, Baden, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Europe, Earth, Sun, α-Quadrant, Milky Way, Laniakea.

This GPN will take place under new and special conditions. Probably we will have some clarity of the actual local regulations regarding the COVID19 pandemic at some point in April 2022.The regulations of the state of Baden-Württemberg are decisive for us.

Registration: https://join.gulas.ch

Submissions: https://cfp.gulas.ch

More of the same

At the Gulaschprogrammiernacht there will be everything what the heart of a hacker or a haeckse longs for: talks, workshops, demo show, blinkingthingies, music that - as always - will be way too loud or too quiet for at least two people. A big hackcenter, Karlsruhe’s yearly supply of mate and Tschunk, an epic lounge, a wonderful lava meadow and - of course - lots of wonderful goulash! For four days there will be hacking, lecturing, tinkering and discussing again that ones and zeros will fly. Everyone’s welcome, from the usual suspects to the (still) inexperienced and firsttimers.

Lectures and workshops

How many talks and workshops are going to be available and how interesting they will be is completely up to you! We are looking forward to a wide range of topics for talks and workshops for all participants. You can submit your proposals in the Pretalx. If you don’t want to offer something yourself, but know people you would like to see as speakers at the GPN, please forward this call to them.
Please make your presentations and workshops as accessible and understandable as possible. Presentations will be recorded by default and posted online at media.ccc.de, opt-out is possible at any time.

Trolling

The GPN, like all other Chaos events, is only possible thanks to the energetic efforts of many helpers who keep everything running from the info desk to the livestreams. If you want to participate, you can soon register in the troll system. For some special activities newcomers will be instructed so that no previous knowledge or special qualifications are necessary.

For everything else, there’s the Internet: Follow the goulash.

Mini-FAQ

“How much is a ticket?” - There are no tickets and admission is free. GPN is donor-funded and prices for drinks and food are low. We rely on your donations to make this year’s and next year’s event possible.

“Why should I register?” - So we know how many chairs, tables, goulash and tschunk ingredients we have to order. Textile swag must be reserved at the time of registration. Also, by registering, you will get a free public transport ticket.

“What are trolls?” - That’s what we call our helpers, comparable to the angels at other chaos events. Come by and troll with us!

“I have other questions!” - Then first check our detailed FAQ and if you don’t find an answer there, write us a mail.

tl;dr Talks, art projects and music for the stream of DiVOC bb3. Deadline for submissions: 13.3.2022, Event 15.–18.4.2022.

During the pandemic, the bubbles and echo chambers all of us inhabit seem to have gotten even tighter and more impermeable. We look forward to your talks about technology, science, politics and society. We’re particularly interested in talks addressing current social debates, questions of participation, accessibility, science education and science denial, and “fake news”.

And this time we would like to try out a new format: each day, we want to a have panel on a range of topics, with experts and different viewpoints. You are an expert and you would like to contribute? Or you have a suggestion for a topic and know people who are specialists? Then submit your suggestion, please!

Talks can have a length of either 30 or 60 minutes (plus a Q&A). If you have something special in mind, we can diverge from that. Art projects and music are coordinated individually.

All formats are streamed live and are recorded for later viewing; if you prefer, you can pre-record your talk. In any case, we would love to do a live Q&A with you. If the situation permits and you’re game, you can hold your talk from one of the participating spaces. We’re happy if you appear in front of the camera, but we’ll find creative solutions if that is not appropriate. We’ll discuss all details with you in time for Easter.

Submissions: https://pretalx.c3voc.de/divoc-bb3

Deadline: 13.3.2022

Event: 15.–18.4.2022

DiVOC Bridging Bubbles – Call for Collaboration

tl;dr A hybrid event: online and in your hackspaces. Do weird things to coax people out of their bubbles and to connect them with others. Contribute on the Wiki and IRC #divoc-bb3, to help plan this. From 15.-18. April 2022.

During the pandemic, the bubbles and echo chambers all of us inhabit seem to have gotten even tighter and more impermeable. We want to interact and merge the bubbles. DiVOC has to replace Easterhegg for the third time, but this time around we hope that the situation allows for small groups to do things together in person. So let’s use the chance to network the bubbles worldwide. Hack the new normal!

Build a Jitsi corner in your club, stream a talk from your space (we’ll help with the technical setup), network with other spaces, connect Workadventure avatars to the real world. Add your ideas to the Wiki, discuss your projects on the Hackint IRC channel #divoc-bb3, and join our mumbles that we’ll host to help everybody coordinate. Let’s build a better world together!

In the usual DiVOC manner we’re relying on self-organisation. Use the wiki to promote your ideas and offerings and find collaborators. We’ll have a Workadventure you will be able to add your own map to, and we’re looking forward to your extensions to connect Workadventure with the physical world. And all the BBB and Jitsi servers at CCC and elsewhere invite everybody to have spontaneous or planned sessions and workshops.

We’ll also have a talk program and a lounge stream, but for now, we want to spur you on to create crazy and cool ideas for a hybrid event!

Call for Interpreters: Translate #rC3!

If you are multilingual and fluent in German, English and maybe other languages, please consider joining the translation team.

We want to interpret ALL talks in the two main channels and content from other channels too, live and in real time. Our work is transmitted live in the streams, and recordings are published on CCC sites and YouTube. For each event we have two channels for interpreted content. In the first, German talks are interpreted into English, and vice versa. A second translation channel translates into languages other than English or German – what we do there depends on availability and on the interests of the group, and maybe on the specific event.

That is a lot of material to translate and in order to succeed, we need YOU. With the second channel, you have the chance to contribute in an even more special way if you can interpret into another interesting language (from English or German). We have mostly used French and Spanish up to now, but there were others and we are interested in variety, so let us know what you can offer – especially if you can bring along a few interpreters for the same target language. Sometimes we might even use the second channel for interesting things that are not (strictly) translations.

Don’t be shy. If you are uncertain whether you’re good enough, chances are that you’ll do just fine. We will try to look after you as best we can in these strange times.

Simply send an email to translate-subscribe(at)lists.ccc.de and write a quick intro to the mailing list after you’ve completed your subscription. Also sign up as a translation angel at https://engelsystem.de/rc3 and give the system permission to send you emails. Most importantly, join one of our online meetings.

You need a Mumble client to take part in our meetings and to do the actual work, so set this up as much as you can. Some details can be found at https://wiki.c3lingo.org/divoc. Then follow the mailing list for meeting announcements. This year we recommend that you join a meeting before day 0, but there will be an official kick-off on that day as well

So please, take this chance and help us bring rC3 to an even wider international audience.

Microposts can be found at on Twitter at @c3lingo and #c3t and on Mastodon at chaos.social/@c3lingo – but don’t expect quicker answers there, our social media team is virtually dormant.

We look forward to welcoming you!

Heading for Congress, unsure what to do there, interested in applying your impressive language skills? If you are multilingual and fluent in German, English and maybe other languages, please consider joining the translation team.

We interpret ALL talks in the five main halls live and in real-time. German talks are interpreted into English, and vice versa. Our work is transmitted live in the lecture halls, streamed to the Internet, and recordings are published on CCC sites and YouTube. A second translation channel will be operated in the same way.

That is a lot of material to translate and in order to succeed, we need YOU. With the second channel, you have the chance to contribute in an even more special way if you can interpret into another interesting language (from English or German). We’ve so far focused on adding French language translations, but if your skills differ just let us know – especially if you can bring along a few interpreters for the same target language. Sometimes, we might even use the second channel for interesting things that are not (strictly) translations.

Don’t be shy. If you are uncertain whether you’re good enough, chances are that you’ll do just fine. In case you‘re struggling, we will talk it over, no harm done.

Also sign up as a translation angel at the Engelsystem. The kick-off meeting on 26 Dec, 20:00 would be best, but if you can’t make that, join us at the earliest meeting that you can attend.

So please, take this chance and help us bring C3 to an even wider international audience.

For more information, you can contact us on Twitter at @c3lingo and #c3t, or via mail to translate(at)lists.ccc.de (after subscribing).

See (and possibly hear) you at 36C3!

Meet the 36C3 track team “Resilience and Sustainability”

We’re 36C3’s Resilience and Sustainability content team and want to show you just our bit of work that helped making this year’s Fahrplan as amazing as it has turned out.

Our team consists of hackers and scientists, tinkerers and PhDs and was formed for 34C3 when we felt that the conference was developing a blind spot between complete destruction of all the IT things and the fascinations for the resulting apocalypse. We wanted to give a stage to new and shiny useful technology for a better and more resilient world – with actual prototypes!

This year’s motto “resource exhaustion” added a perspective on sustainability to the track – even though the term is rather overloaded. There’s a plethora of conferences selling you on the most recent hypes about how machine learning, crypto currencies and the cloud will save the world, but we think that it is in the spirit of this community to question everything, think and focus on technology that will last for much longer – both physically and from a software engineering point of view. We found it fitting to see how the existing resources can be used and reused, who’s building resilient technologies that can help people in emergencies, oppressive regimes or off-grid situations, and – in a broader scope – how can we build the systems of the future not riddled by the problems of our generation.

Along the way, we hope we can make software developers think about the impact of their busy-looping JS, bad communication patterns and faulty software architecture – all of which are significantly contributing to climate change.

The concept of resilience itself – especially combined with sustainability – is rather interdisciplinary, part hacking and making, part science and politics. This puts us in competition with other track teams trying to catch the most interesting lectures for a given subject, but also allowed us to trade slots with those teams as well, once we were running out of our allotted time budget. ;)

Next year, we hope to collect the “haveyoursay” feedback much earlier so we can incorporate your feedback and follow your suggestions for valuable speakers and topics.

While we were quite pleased with the submissions we found once CfP kicked off, our curation process started way earlier: Reflecting on feedback we received after 35C3, we came together in IRC and RL, brainstormed about interesting projects we heard about in the past year, thought about relevant topics and identified speakers worth having.

Even then, the speakers we “invited” still had to go through our rigorous curation process. After all, our team received a total of 74 lecture submissions and had to narrow them down into only 15 hours (in 18 lectures) of 36C3 programme. We vetted each submitter, trying to make sense of their submission, read their papers, ask and answer questions and spend the remaining time meeting and coordinating with all the other track teams, before finally writing this blog post! If we add up all the time spent preparing our 18 lecture foot steps in the Fahrplan, we’re looking at one or two weeks full time work for each of us.

In the end we’re quite proud of the topics we could cover this year. Of course, we’re still not short of topics to cover next year :-) It’s time for more critical reflection of wastefulness within the computer nerd scene and how we can minimise the environmental impact of our C3s and Camps in the years to come.

36C3: Tickets & Presale

It’s that time of the year again – we’re opening the presale for this year’s Chaos Communication Congress!

As in the last years, there will be two phases, with the first one starting on 2019-10-21. During the first phase, we will invite the core of our community to participate in the presale. It will end as soon as no more tickets are left in the pool for this phase, but by 2019-11-07 at the latest.

During the second phase we’ll open the presale to everybody on three dates. These dates are:

2019-11-08 12:00 CET

2019-11-10 17:00 CET

2019-11-21 21:00 CET

Usually tickets are gone very fast on these dates, so take care to be on time. We’ll offer all tickets for presale and expect not to be able to sell any tickets on site.

Like last year, the Congress ticket includes a public transport ticket that is valid in all of Leipzig (area 110 of MDV) during 36C3. Again, there will also be more frequent tram and bus connections to and from 36C3, especially at night.

To make 36C3 as awesome as possible, we’ll need to reach an average ticket price of EUR 145. We nevertheless decided to start ticket pricing at EUR 120. Please buy a Supporter ticket if you’re able to, to allow us to continue offering the lower-priced tickets to other attendees! You’ll soon find details and a chart plotting the average ticket price of currently sold tickets at https://tickets.events.ccc.de.

If you are able to support us, please do!

You can find a more detailed explanation of the presale phases and the voucher system at https://tickets.events.ccc.de/36c3/docs. If you have any questions, please refer to the FAQ at https://tickets.events.ccc.de/36c3/page/faq or contact us at mailto:36c3-tickets@cccv.de, if your question is not answered in the FAQ.

If you were logging at least 16 hours in angel shifts last year and agreed to receiving emails from us, you should find a voucher in your mailbox.

Local CCC groups and similar entities have also received their vouchers by now. If you belong to such a group and have not received any vouchers, please check in with other groups in your local and social periphery. If none of them have received any vouchers, please get in touch.

See you in December!

Hello camp visitors,

there is general camp planning going on for several weeks so far. Now we need information in terms of your villages in order to do concrete campsite planning. If you want to create some big stuff we need to know. You can find the contact details below in this post.
For your orientation we gathered some facts that are clear so far:

water:
The watersystem we build up for the camp is limited in its capacity and unfortunately won’t be very high due to local supply limitation. This means that we need to watch our water consumption a little bit. From the overall capacity we need to supply all of the sanitary and gastronomic infrastructure, e.g. the showers, dish washing stations, drinking water supply, heavens kitchen and so on. That means we cannot manage to supply running water in individual villages. So please plan to get water from the closest water station and find a workaround with water tanks. It’s also planned to limit the showering time to several hours a day to reduce the amount of water consumption.
Please be thrifty with the water and for example take a dip in the nearest lake instead of having a massive water fight on the campsite.

electricity:
As for the 2015 camp we will bring generators for the electricity supply because we can´t get enough power from the Ziegeleipark. As usual for a generator powered grid interruptions are possible.
It’s the same as for the water: please be thrifty and leave hungry consumers (e.g. old fridges or likewise) at home.
If you want to use your own solar power infrastructure to supply your village or if you are bringing big power consumers (>2kW) you necessarily need to speak to our power team (camp2019@c3power.de). Due to necessary fire protection, environmental and noise issues, please leave own generators at home. Nobody likes stinking two-stroke engine generators.

tents and buildings:
Due to safety reasons on the campsite you need to involve the village team in the planning of your village. If you want to bring big tents or build up something special, you need the village team’s permission. Tents for example are limited to the size of 75 square meters and must not have a second floor. Please don’t bring materials that are easily inflammable to build up your village. Cars and similar vehicles can not be parked in the villages.
Don’t dig holes and pits. There are several undocumented cables and pipes in the Ziegeleipark which are suspected to lie low under ground. The ground is not fun to dig in either. Also please don’t bring big pegs and don’t drive your tent pegs deeper in the ground than 20cm.
Please answer the village registration (https://signup.c3assemblies.de/) and speak about your plans. You also get the possibility to order tables, chairs, big tents and wood via the village team. Only register your planned village if you already got a ticket for the camp!

fire and cooking:
There definitely won’t be the possibility to have open fires or campfires on the campsite and the whole area due to fire safety. The same goes for barbeque grills on the campsite. As in 2015 there will a defined area where barbeque grills can be used. If you want to use a gas cooker make absolutely sure that it is based on some non inflammable ground and that it stands solidly and is not likely to fall over. The operation of a major village kitchen is only possible after permission of the village team.
Please be aware that the fire safety rules need to be adjusted if there is a change in weather oder dryness and can become stricter.

vehicles:
If you want to bring your vehicle please take care of the ground, yourself and the people nearby. The campsite won’t have a continuously bright illumination and a black dressed person or a pothole can easily be overlooked in the later evening. Please leave your battery powered vehicles at the chargers after dusk and please leave vehicles running on any kind of fuel at home. The noise and exhaust for other camp visitors exceed the individual fun. Also if your vehicle is leaking fuel it will damage the environment around.

water protection and environmental protection:
The Ziegeleipark Mildenberg is based in a water protection area (Wasserschutzgebiet). Please make sure that your cars, campers, motorcycles etc. are not leaking fuel.
Please leave any kind of chemicals at home. The opportunity of producing a new circuit board versus the possibility of damaging the closest drinking water reservoir is definitely not worth it.

music and noise:
If you bring PAs please limit the volume in sense of your neighbors on the campsite and outside the Ziegeleipark. Background music is totally fine in your village but constant party volume in some parts of the campsite was a problem in 2015 that we don´t want to have again.
There will be a major party area that is designed to produce a low noise level to the outside.

be excellent to each other:
In 2015 we got major complaints from neighbors outside the Ziegeleipark about noise, trash thrown in private gardens and damage to private property. We assume that this won´t happen again. Be excellent to each other!

dont forget your towel:
Have in mind that we are outside in the actual nature in midsummer. Bring sun protection, bring sunscreen, a big hat, create yourself some shady space. Have in mind to drink enough and also have in mind that in case of rain it can become quite muddy.
Bring a chair including a backrest and don’t forget your towel!
