Trigg is a modified version of the Hack Club Sprig, an open-hardware portable handheld games console for developing tile-based Sokoban-style games using a web-based IDE. In the FabLab of our coding school 42 Berlin, we adapted Sprig to use low-cost through-hole components. The result is Trigg, a kit used to teach soldering and basic electronics to coding students. Each kit is sold for 20 Euros, including Raspberry Pi Pico and all components (batteries not included).
Our workshop and build guide will take you through assembling, soldering, testing and flashing the Trigg, as well as uploading your first game. The workshop is suitable for adults and young hackers alike. Parent/child building teams are also very welcome. After building, come by to our assembly to say hi and to hack on building games :)
