Are you a lefty working on burning issues, but your revolutionary energy dissipates because of tech nonsense? Or are you a nerd with sick skillz but you're lacking opportunities to use them for great justice?
This event is for you.
In a speed dating format, you will meet great people, learn about powerful tools and worthy causes. At a minimum, you will leave the event with many new opportunities and ideas, but with a little luck, you will forge mighty alliances.
This meetup is a first, so feel free to give us your ideas on the format beforehand or afterwards.
PS: We interpret nerd skillz very broadly, and include design, social media, video, audio, streaming, podcasting, something something internet, etc.
PPS: We may put up a website or registration form to better plan the event, so please check this announcement again shortly before the start of the conference.
PPPS: The organizers are of course aware that the lefty/nerd binary is actually a spectrum. To make this event work, we invite you to embrace it nonetheless and pick one of the two options.
Background: We're siblings who had a brilliant idea over a cup of tea.
Organizers: Alice is a trainer at the Movement School (Bewegungsschule) - a training collective that supports social movements in building power and with spaces for learning and exchange between activists, trade unionists and organizers. bewegungsschule.org
