In this talk, I will explain the economic situation in Gaza during wartime and how it has created a lucrative marketplace for disaster capitalists, unlike anything we have seen before.
Attendees will witness firsthand how a cash trader in Gaza are exploiting those in need thus earning a net profits of $1-2 million per month. This stark reality will engage the audience and lead into a brainstorming session or hackathon.
During the hackathon, participants will use open-source software to develop a proof of concept (POC) that addresses both the technical and social aspects of bypassing cash traders, serving as an anti-war economic intervention in Gaza.
