42 Berlin [FabLab]
We are a group of staff and students from the non-profit coding school 42 Berlin. We are visiting the congress as a self-organised group from our Berlin fabrication lab (FabLabNK) and will present topics related to:
- coding and education
- making and makerspaces
- hardware hacking
- cybersecurity
We will also offer support to the Hardware Hacking Area and give workshops there. You will find Graham, Zandra, Maxime and many of our students around who will be happy to introduce you to our schools and concept. Our schools are free to study at and we are a friendly community, so come by and say hi :)
Activities we hope to offer are:
- Retro PC building: solder together and write display-code for a tiny inexpensive open-hardware RISCV-based RVPC: https://www.olimex.com/Products/Retro-Computers/RVPC/open-source-hardware
- Trigg: assemble and code games for our version of the Sprig hand-held console by Hack Club https://sprig.hackclub.com/
- CrateLight: our take on the classic C-Base "Mate Licht" project, using a raspberry Pi Pico and LED strings https://github.com/jaseg/matelight
- SynthLab: get involved in our eurorack synthesiser project Rack42 https://github.com/fablabnk/Rack42
- Coding exam simulator: take our exam challenge and get a taste of what it's like to study at 42 Berlin/Wolfsburg. See here for an example: https://grademe.fr/
