Megastrukturen und Galaktische Imperien (oder: How to build a Dyson Sphere) (de)

SF World Building (de)

We will learn how do square, triangle and sawtooth waves sound like, the interrelatedness of (poly)rhythm and pitch, and of course, why Bossa Nova *is* an XOR gate.

Adhoc livecoding tribe : a collective Algorave B2B (de)

## When a diverse adhoc livecoding tribe gathers... it produces rich algo music and visuals. This performance weaves together multiple, usually distinct generative pieces, blending them in swift succession, more as a logical mix than an analog one. It becomes a kind of back-to-back coding session that traverses realms of industrial techno, footwork, post-rock, and hyperpop, shaped by a distinctive algorithmic touch marked by often polymetric structures, transpositions, bugs and even maybe beautiful crashes. The visuals should be just as diverse, involving abstract, glitches, videos pieces, 3D, and live stream of flying drones.

Tehran Underground (Persian Hip Hop) (en)

minor F

Hip-hop is officially banned in Iran, yet it has thrived in the underground of Tehran since the early 2000s. Artists face strict prohibitions—no live concerts, no legitimate record deals—forcing the genre to remain raw and uncommercialized. The tracks emerging from this scene carry the weight of defiance, created by individuals who have endured political imprisonment, exile, or house arrest, all in the name of making their voices heard through free music.

SIMON JAVA (de)

SIMON JAVA IS AN INTERDISCIPLINARY ARTIST, DJ, AND SELECTOR FROM COLOMBIA, CURRENTLY BASED BETWEEN BERLIN AND LEIPZIG, GERMANY. SIMON IS ONE OF THE FOUNDERS OF CALENTURA BERLIN AND ASPORA IN LEIPZIG, AS WELL AS A MEMBER OF NECIOS BERLIN. THE PASSION FOR MUSIC MAKES SIMON A TRUE "DIGGER" OF SOUNDS, ALWAYS SEEKING INSPIRATION IN THE RHYTHMS OF THE GLOBAL SOUTH WITH A STRONG FOCUS ON THEIR LATIN AMERICAN ROOTS. THIS DEDICATION HAS LED SIMON TO EXPLORE HIDDEN DATABASES, FORGOTTEN VINYL SHOPS, ANTIQUE STORES, AND ANY CORNER WILLING TO SHARE ITS SOUNDSCAPES, BOTH IN COLOMBIA AND AROUND THE WORLD. ALWAYS EAGER TO LISTEN TO THE LAST TRACK OR SIFT THROUGH EVERY BOX TO FIND THAT SPECIAL VINYL. SIMON JAVA SETS SPAN TRADITIONAL LATIN AMERICAN RHYTHMIC FOUNDATIONS, INCLUDING GENRES SUCH AS SALSA, CUMBIA, AFRICAN MUSIC, AND MERENGUE, TO THE MOST AVANT-GARDE AND CONTEMPORARY STYLES LIKE LATIN CLUB, GUARACHA, PERREO, NEO PERREO, DEMBOW, BAILE FUNK, RAPTOR HOUSE, LATINCORE, AND AFROFUTURISM, AMONG OTHERS. EACH SET 1S CRAFTED AS A JOURNEY THROUGH DIVERSE SOUNDSCAPES AND MUSICAL LATITUDES, ALWAYS HIGHLIGHTING DIVERSITY AND BREAKING MONOTONY. THIS UNIQUE APPROACH HAS LED SIMON JAVA TO DEVELOP THE CONCEPT OF "TEJIDOS SONOROS" - "SONICS WEAVES" , WHERE DIFFERENT SOUNDS AND MUSIC INTERTWINE TO CREATE AN IMMERSIVE AND CAPTIVATING LISTENING EXPERIENCE.

Schulverweis (de)

Schulverweis make punk the way it should be: completely in the moment. Just like the very existence of the band. Because Schulverzeigen actually only came about because they had to share a studio in the overcrowded metropolis of Hamburg. The appropriate line of the song: "In the expensive café around the corner, latte macchiato - die. Drink my coffee black, like I deserve, no sugar for me, no sugar for me." The concept of the band, consisting of LFT and Levente: They record every song directly in a jam on a tape deck. And that's where it all comes together: dystopian synth pads, dusty drum patterns and endearingly banal guitar riffs. There's a colorful mix of storytelling, shouting and babbling. German, French, English, who cares. But with lots of punk, synth and humor!

Cypherpunks tend to disagree and they consider uncensored, private financial communication essential for a free society. The Emergence of the Crypto Commons. Navigating Socio-Technical Affordances and Ideological Tensions on the Blockchain. (en)

CDC

Crypto commons are decentralized systems that harness blockchain technology to enable collective stewardship of shared resources. While offering innovative mechanisms for scaling commons governance, these systems introduce critical tensions between individual utility-maximization and the communal values foundational to managing shared resources. This talk examines the political economy of crypto commons communities, focusing on how internal social norms and crypto-economic mechanisms interact with external market pressures. By critically analyzing the promises and limitations of blockchain-based governance for scaling equitable resource management, this presentation introduces an often overlooked subculture in crypto that offers an alternative perspective on the (f)utility of blockchain for post-capitalist systems design.

Smart Cities: Digital Utopia or Privacy Dystopia? A critical analysis of Singapore's 'Smart Nation 2.0' (en)

CDC

In 2014, the Singaporean Government launched its Smart Nation initiative, a tech policy framework aiming \'to harness infocomm technologies, networks and big data to create tech-enabled solutions\', which was recently refreshed as 'Smart Nation 2.0' - with sub-initiatives like the Open Digital Platform and Singpass Face Verification as practical implementations of the Smart Nation vision. With the massive scale of data collection under Smart Nation 2.0, are there any guarantees of data privacy? Could these initiatives be used for the purpose of mass surveillance on the public by any administration, future or current? This talk seeks to analyze these implementations of the Smart Nation initiative as a case study for the social, political and privacy implications of the Smart Nation initiative as a whole. What does the concept of a "smart nation" or "smart city" mean for us as hackers?

electronic, live improvised, sound and noise oriented solo music session & short talk about the concept and q/a about artistic or technical questions, if desired. the focus of my setup is currently a pure data based synth i developed that runs on a tablet and which i currently use on two devices in parallel. an essential element is a self-made breath controller, which turns the synth into a wind instrument for sounds. since the design of my setup is in a permanent development process, the exact setup will only be finalized before the concert. aesthetically, my music is based on my many years of experience as a saxophonist in the field of contemporary improvised music and my current departure from traditional musical structures - especially the use of quantized pitches such as tempered tuning. my music aims less at creating emotions (but if you feel something it is of course ok :-) and more at observing cognitive processes and creating interest.
