Ethereum is a decentralized proof-of-stake based blockchain. All Ethereum core infrastructure and development and research discussions are open source. Ethereum is open for anybody to contribute and available for anybody in the world to access.

The Ethereum Foundation (EF) is a non-profit organization that supports the Ethereum ecosystem. We are part of a larger community of organizations and individuals that fund protocol development (via grants and our own technical teams), grow the ecosystem, and advocate for Ethereum.
