APCWorkshop

File:WELIKEPORN-630px.png APC Example

The Atari Punk Console is a simple and fun sound generator.

Come by and make one in the hardware area with Jimmie Rodgers, who has put together an easy kit that fits neatly into a small space. This dedicated workshop will give you additional tools, parts, and camaraderie with others building one as well.

When: Day 2 - 2009-12-28 15:00 - 17:00 & Day 3 - 2009-13-28 15:00 - 17:00

Where: A04

Cost: €24

The workshop includes an Atari Punk Console kit, a 9V battery, and an Altoids tin to use as a case. You are encouraged to bring your own fun case though! In addition to the kit, you will also have access to Jimmie's part cases. This will allow you to build in additional controls, like using a photo resistor to create a quick photo Theremin. You can also change out knobs or switchs, or create touch contacts.

Everything will be covered, and you will leave with a working electronic instrument that you built yourself. On average it takes about 2 hours to finish one, but you will be able to stay as long as needed to finish up. You may also leave and come back at any time, as the workshop area is open for the duration of the congress.

If you have any questions, find Jimmie Rodgers or Mitch Altman in the workshop area.
