Nicholas Bentley
Nicholas Bentley is an independent designer with a background in information technology who has passionately followed the digital intellectual property debate over many years.
I’m a designer and ebéniste (cabinet maker) living in France but I spends all my spare time thinking about intellectual property issues. My earlier work included: 1978 – 1992 BRITISH AIRWAYS PLC Flight simulator development engineer working on simulator hardware, computer systems, visual systems, system software and real time simulation software. Formulated new ideas for simulator documentation standards and presented them to the IATA Flight Simulator Working Group (http://www.iata.org/) at their international gathering in New Orleans. Supported an international working group established to define and implement these standards. Before that I worked for Marconi Communications as a communications engineer.
