Bert Bos

Bert Bos is Style Activity Lead of W3C

Bert Bos studied Mathematics and has a PhD (on a rapid protyping language for GUIs) from the University of Groningen, The Netherlands, where he also developed a browser. He joined W3C in October 1995 to develop CSS and to set up the Internationalization (I18N) activity of W3C. He was part of the W3C working groups for I18N, HTML and XML at various times and is now the chairman of the CSS working group. He is based at W3C's host ERCIM in Sophia Antipolis, France.

He is also co-author of the Book "Cascading Style Sheets : Designing for the Web" which is currently published in the 3rd edition
