Holger Krekel

Holger Krekel, born 1969, began in 1985 to work as a lead programmer producing games for Electronic Arts. He went to university, gave courses in all kinds of weird languages like Prolog, C, Assembler, mathematics. While slowly drifting towards FOSS communities he consulted for various large organizations which was - compared to his early game programming days - not as much fun.

Luckily, he discovered the programming language Python and its nice communities. He soon teamed with some developers to start the "PyPy" project which is part of a series of experiments to express a computer language within itself.

Sometimes Holger tries to foster his journalistic interests and writes for heise magazines and papers.
