Concepts of narrative storytelling in a VJ context
Breaking free of the truly abstract nature of visuals is a goal not many VJs share. This speech will show some techniques and different approaches to get a visual narrative going.
CTRL-V is one of the first test to have a fully self produce VJ narrative that extends over 45 minutes. fALk will explain his thoughts on the matter and give insights on the things learned from this experiment.
Fluchtpunkt arbeitet mit nichtlinearen, eher abstrakten Erzählsträngen. Will heissen: verschiedenen Samples und Gruppen von Samples die für bestimmte Inhalte stehen oder bestimmte Assoziationen wecken; wobei ich durch Applikation von Filtern Spannungsbögen inerhalb den einzelnen Samples erzeuge und durch Kontrastieren und Verweben der verschiedenen Samples eine 'narrative' erzeuge (die aber mit einer Geschichte im herkömmlichen Sinn eigentlich nichts zu tun hat).
