- Who is organizing this?
- The Chaos Communication Camp is organized by people somehow associated with the Chaos Computer Club. See Static:Contact to find out how to contact them.
- Where will it be?
- The camp will take place at the Ziegeleipark Mildenberg (53°01'48" N, 13°18'27" E) an old brickyard and open air museum near the village of Mildenberg north of Berlin, Germany. For more information see Static:Location.
- How do I get there?

- When will the Camp take place?
- August 13, 2015 to August 17, 2015
- The opening event will be 11:00 on August 13, 2015.
- The closing event will be 18:00 on August 17, 2015.
- Can I come earlier?

- Are there opening hours?
- The camp will be open 24/5. Arrival during the night will be possible.
- The food stalls and bars will probably close for the few hours in the early morning, when everybody is asleep.

- Will we be required to wear wristbands as on the congresses?
- Yes, every participant is asked to wear the camp wristband. This will be enforced beginning August 13th, 11 am latest. To avoid queues you can go to the cash desk the days before and get your wristband early. If you spot someone without a wristband please ask nicely where the wristband is and if they could please pick one up at the cash desk if they don't have one. Thanks!
- Ask everybody in the picture if they agree to be photographed or filmed.
- It follows that shots from the stage into the audience and long shots in the hackcenters, villages and the other public areas are not possible! Please note that we might ask photographers and film teams to leave, if they don't behave accordingly.
Cars and Camper Vans
- Where can I park my car?
- There will be a parking lot right beside the camp, there will be no parking on the campsite itself.
- Is it OK to drive the car on the camp ground to unload stuff for the village on arrival?
- Depends on when you arrive. People arriving later than Monday the 11th will probably not be allowed to drive on the camp ground. But the parking area is next to the camp ground and we plan to provide carts and similar means of transportation between the cash desk and the rest of the camp ground.
- Is it ok to come with a campervan/caravan?
- Yes, caravan and campers are welcome.
- Caravans and Campervans will get their own designated on the edge of the venue. If you park there you can move your Campervan (or car) for a shopping tour.
- There will be power and network hubs near the camper area but no option to hook up water or waste water.
- Trucks, Caravans, and Campervans may enter the camp ground if they’re an integral piece of your Village’s set-up. Those vehicles will need to be in place by August 12th and won’t be able to leave until the event came to a close, so please plan accordingly.
- Will there be campers/caravans allowed at the FamilyVillage?
- We planned the area for the family village with the knowledge that many families arrive with their mobile home in mind. As space permits campers are allowed in the Family Village.
- Are charcoal BBQs allowed?
- No - all forms of open fire are forbidden. Please let your Charcoal BBQ Grill at home and bring a gas BBQ instead. As mentioned in Static:Power please don't bring an electric grill either.
- Could we make a Camp Fire/bonfire (dt. Lagerfeuer) ?
- No - all forms of open fire are forbidden. Only if the fire brigade allows it one camp fire at the official fire place will be lit.
- Are camping stoves powered by ethyl alcohol allowed?
- gas and liquid fuel are OK, they don't spread sparks.
- Why is there a Camp Fire/bonfire in the Camp LOGO while open fires are not allowed?
- Because it makes the logo look cool, conveys a rustic feeling of open air friendly companionship and mesmerizing flame gazing which we like (to call marketing) while in reality uncontrolled open fires nestled within 1500 dwellings made of cloth and plastic makes for a perfect way to barbeque 4500 guests in one go, which is NOT what we have in mind when we think of rustic feeling an open air friendly companionship...
- Is it ok to bring my dog?
- We ask everybody not to bring dogs. There are at least three problems we had with dogs on events in the past:
- 1. Dogs mark their territory by peeing at tents.
- 2. Attendees have problems with dogs. Be it by allergy or by phobia.
- 3. Dogs who have problems with people. They get scared in a crowd or by some odors.
- So if you do bring a dog and it causes any trouble then we will ask you to remove it from the camp site.

- Will there be a private DECT Network?
- Yes, see Static:POC.
- Will there be a private GSM Network?
- Yes, see Static:GSM.

- Will there be Gigabit Ethernet in the Datenklo?
- Yes. In the current network-planning each datenklo will have gigabit copper ports available for end-users. Do you need fibre uplink and/or 10GbE uplink? This is available in very limited supply, please contact the NOC in advance via camp2015 [at] c3noc.net.

- How will drinking water be distributed?
- There will be water supply stations where you can get water from a tap. You can fill your water bottle at the water supply but you can't hook up a hose.
- Will there be a hookup for campers?
- No, there will be no option to hook up water or waste water for a camper.
- What about food?
- During the camp several independent food stalls will offer hot meals - burgers, curry, breakfast foods, ... - and there will be coffee bars selling coffee and tea. You can buy cold beverages at one of the bars.
- During build up and tear down these food stalls and the bars will not be operational. If you are a Volunteer helping with build up or tear down you get some snacks there. In any way you need to care of your food yourself. See Static:POIs for grocery stores around.
- What should I do with my trash?
- Please avoid producing waste and trash! If you can't you can be very nice and take it with you when you leave or use one of the many trash cans on the camp site. Getting rid of trash is very expensive for us so please don't plan to leave stuff behind when you leave. Especially if you bring furniture, building materials or electronic waste to the camp you need to take it with you at the end!
- Which hashtag is recommended for chaos camp-related tweets?
- Please use the hashtag #cccamp15 to tag all things related to the "Chaos Communication Camp 2015".
- Please do not post any information or pictures on other people anywhere online unless they agreed before. That also means, that you wont be able to e.g. publish a shot of a crowd, unless you blur the faces.
- How can I prepare for the camp?
- Besides making a backup of your data nice people compiled a guide with lots of ideas how to prepare yourself and your hardware for the camp. Have a look at Static:How_To_Survive.
- What should I bring to the camp?
- Besides all the usual stuff you might bring to a camping trip or a trip to the Chaos Communication Congress remember to bring long (>10m) power cables for outdoor use. And it is also a good idea to bring more female sockets than male sockets in all things plugs.

- Where do I put my tent if I do NOT participate in a Village ?
- Come to the camp site and put your tent on a spot that you like and that is not reserved for someone else or for infrastructure. You can also join a village if you ask the inhabitants or move your tent if you don't like a spot.
- Where can I store my valuables?
- You have to take care of your valuables yourself. You can ask your friendly neighbour to watch out for your stuff, lock it in a car or carry it with you. Up to now very few things have been stolen during CCC events but as our events grow bigger the number of jerks probably rises proportionally.
- How difficult will it be to leave the CCCamp and come back (ie. to get supplies from the next town)?
- If your are at the camp with your own vehicle you can just go to your car/bike/boat/... and drive away and come back.
- If you bring a caravan and park it at the designated caravan site, can you the park your car next to it as well? And be able to leave and comeback with the car (leaving the caravan) during the camp?

- Is it ok to bring a bicycle and to cycle on the campground?
