In this workshop, we will go step by step through the process of setting up your own GSM network, including

  • git checkout and compilation of OpenBSC and its dependencies (libosmo*)
  • understand the individual software components
  • configuration of the OpenBSC and the BTS side
  • working with the OpenBSC VTY
  • working with the OpenBSC logging system
  • registering phones, interpreting traces (logs, wireshark)
