From Chaos Communication Camp 2007

Jump to: navigation, search

During day 4 of the camp I did some phone spam with my Asterisk PBX which was connected to the POC. It was an advertisement to upload things to a particular FTP server. The spam came from phone number 4911. Here is some analysis of six and a half hours of spamming the phone network:

Out of 5322 dialed numbers (numbers tried from 2100 to 6999 without looking up in the phone book if they were valid numbers), 4976 numbers failed (i.e. busy, not reachable etc.). Actually 734 phone numbers were answered and the VoIP Spam was delivered 350 times.

Thanks for participating in this! Shouts to the Italians who got me into the idea.
