Robert Helling
I am a theoretical physicist working at Ludwig Maximilians Universität München. I mainly work on high energy physics and especially the quantisation of gravity in connection with particle physics. My focus is on superstring theory but I also work on black hole entropy, loop quantum gravity and have in interest in quantum information and quantum computers.
My interest in computers is 100% amateurish but goes back to the early 1980s. I am an active perl monger and know how to hold a soldering iron. I am conviced that the mindset that leads to a creative use of technology is very similar in spirit in what is needed to investigate the theory of everything.
