- Regarding my Lightning Talk No. 02 on Day 2 which failed to show the Gapminder-Website I want to take the opportunity of a 24C3-Worksop to introduce you to Gapminder, Trendalyzer and Dollar Street/database visualization and think/develop together other ways how to use this and maybe other tools for a good cause.
- Movies for the list "Wanted Films in the Night Cinema":
- - Blue Thunder (German title: "Das Fliegende Auge" - A helicopter is developed for police work using full surveillance technology, etc.)
- - Æon Flux (A little disappointing, but not completely a "stinker" as many expected)
- - Gattaca (In the future society analyzes your DNA and determines where you belong in life. A genetically inferior man assumes the identity of a superior one)
- - The Road to Guantanamo (Part drama, part documentary, focuses on 3 British Muslims who were held in Guantanamo Bay for 2 years until they were released without charge)
- - A Scanner Darkly (Filmed in a warped animated style and based on Phillip K. Dick’s novel of the same name. Other movies based on his books: Blade Runner, Total Recall, Minority Report)
