What we want to do is to build some drones at Chaos Camp 2007. At the last Chaos Congress 2006 Steini from the CCC gave a lecture about drones. And he said that in 2007 the cost for a drone decreases under the 1000 Euro limit.
Now this limit is reached.

- 1x Mainboard 17,90 €
- 4x BL-Controller Board 4x 8,90 €
- 3x Gyros 3x 27,90 €
- 1x Accelleration Sensor 17.90 €
- 1x Receiver ACTrx3 Multi 26,90 €
- Devices (Resistors,capa's) 73,00 €
- 4x BL Motors (Robbe Roxxy) 4x 26,90 €
- Material for the Frame ca.15,00 €
TOTAL 377,60 €
Because of that price the money is needed before the camp starts. The whole material has to paid and reserved. Another problem is the time between ordering and receiving the sensors. Even the boards and receivers has to acquire.

[edit] What you need
is time. You need 3-5 days to build and program this drone. If we can, one board side will be assembled. This is not a soldering workshop. So you need a little bit experience in soldering SMD devices. If you have,please bring with you
- solder
- measurement equipment
- Transmitter 35MHz (It is good to have a computed transmitter like FX18 from Robbe Futaba or equal). Please add yourself to the RC-Frequencies plan.

Another sponsor is Ascending Technology They build a more professional drone. Currently only the frame is available (Xufo-Shop) In first case this is a fun sport gadget. Later this vehicle gets even GPS, a compass and more things.
